Hangin' with the Fantasy Industry Leaders

Over the past few days, I was fortunate to attend the Fantasy Sports Trade Association's (FSTA) winter conference in Las Vegas.  I was drawn to it for 2 reasons - 1) the chance to go to Vegas and 2) the opportunity to meet many professionals that share the same passion and love for the fantasy sports industry.  It exceeded my expectations in every way.

It was amazing to meet the leaders in the industry.  They have been in the business for 20 years!  Man, I didn't even know that fantasy sports had been around that long.  Their enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge was incredible.   It was a great way to re-charge and re-motivate myself during my own business venture.

Also, I didn't realize how many facets there were to the fantasy industry.  Here are some examples of the types of companies we met at the conference:

The Roto Lounge -  The world's first Fantasy Sports Bar & Grill
Deployed Entertainment - Provides fantasy sports to Armed Service Members serving abroad.
Dream11.com - The world's first global Fantasy Cricket game.
Fantasy Football Librarian - Famous fantasy football blogger
Fantasy Sports Insurance - Provides Player Disability Isurance

I mean, the list goes on and on.  I was just so amazed.  So my take-home message today is that if you have a passion for fantasy football, there is a huge market out there for new ideas and businesses in the fantasy sports industry.  Why not take your own personal skills and combine it with your love of the game, to make a whole new career for yourself??
